Rules for Costume Contest
There are a few rules for the costume contest. Here is what you need to know:
- Come dressed as your favorite Firefly/Serenity character.
- Have fun with it.
- Please do not bring any guns that look even remotely real.I know it completes your look, but this is a college campus and the campus police will not be amused.
- Think outside the box, but keep it in the "verse.
- River characters - I would suggest putting your battle ax and sword in a bag or backpack for transport to the event.
- Finally, Have lots of fun with it.

The Charlotte Browncoats are proud to announce this year's Can't Stop The Serenity Charity Event, co-sponsored by the UNCC Guild

The time will be announced shortly, but will begin in the early afternoon.
Thanks to The Guild sponsorship we are moving the location. It will now be at the UNCC Student Union Ballroom.
The NC USO, Charlotte Center will be our local charity this year with 25% of what we raise going to support the troops and their families who pass through the Queen City.
This year we will be having a Firefly/Serenity costume contest, so start your planning now.

The totals are in the Charlotte Browncoats were able to raise $1,339.24 for Equality Now and $425.00 for Chai Hopes of Charlotte.

Can't Stop the Serenity
Can't Stop the Serenity is a global, grass-roots fundraising event. Cities in the United States and around the world will show the movie Serenity to show our support and appreciation for Joss Whedon and the universe he created, and raise money for Equality Now.
Serenity Movie
